Alphamon Download Code to Be Included in Aoi Eir's "Accentier" Single

January 22nd, 2016. The official Digimon World -next 0rder- title site updated with the cover art of Aoi Eir's latest single Accentier, out March 2nd. Accentier will serve as the title theme to -next 0rder-, and has already been featured in many of its trailers. The album cover is illustrated by Taiki, the character designer for -next 0rder-, and it features protagonists Shiki and Takuto.

The website also revealed that a product code packaged with the album will allow tamers to download the special evolution item "Black Cavalry Core," which evolves their Digimon partner to Alphamon. This is similar to the preorder bonus and first print DLC items that Bandai previously announced.
Digimon World -next 0rder- will launch in Japan March 17th, 2016, on the PlayStation Vita for 6,980 yen (7,539 JPY after tax).

January 8th, 2016. The official Digimon World -next 0rder- title site updated today with a new batch of screenshots, showing off the first print DLC Digimon Susanoomon of Frontier fame. The screenshots also include a view of Mastemon, previously leaked in Weekly Shounen Jump, as well as the Royal Knight Alphamon, Imperialdramon Fighter Mode, and Cherubimon Virtue.

Digimon World -next 0rder- will launch in Japan March 17th, 2016, on the PlayStation Vita for 6,980 yen (7,539 JPY after tax). It is the latest entry in the World series, succeeding directly from Re:Digitize Decode on the 3DS, Re:Digitize on the PSP, and World on the PSX. Spirit Digimon Confirmed for -next 0rder-

December 11th, 2015. The official Digimon World -next 0rder- title site updated with a batch of screenshots showing off several new additions to the game's lineup, principle among them Digimon Frontier's Agnimon. The new screenshots break a long standoff between the Digimon video games and Frontier's spirit evolved Digimon; recent games like Cyber Sleuth and Re:Digitize have shied away from using the unorthodox Digimon because they have no level and do not fit in with the traditional mold of Child/Adult/Perfect/Ultimate evolution. -next 0rder- is a decidedly traditionalist Digimon game modeled on the 1999 open world virtual pet Digimon World, so exactly how Agnimon and his cohorts will fit into the system is unclear.

Some past entries in the franchise like the Hyper Colosseum trading card game have treated H-Spirit Digimon as if they were Adult-level, and B-Spirit Digimon as Perfects. The inclusion of Digimon that normally have no level in Digimon World has certain implications for the rest of -next 0rder-'s roster, as it opens up the possibility of including Xros Wars Digimon in the game.

Update: Bandai's official Digimon Games Twitter account confirmed that Agnimon is a partner Digimon.

First 5 Minutes of Digimon Adventure tri. Subbed

October 26th, 2015. Above is Tamer Union's English subtitled edition of the Digimon Adventure tri. movie teaser, which was livestreamed yesterday as part of an official promotional stream for the first film. Readers can compare the translation with another fansub produced by Onkei, and Lyrl's translation of the opening narration. The opening deals with themes of Neoplatonism (and by extension, Gnosticism) and primarily addresses the concept of the Demiourgos (Greek; "Demiurge").

Digimon Adventure tri.'s first movie, Reunion, will premier in Japan on November 21st, 2015. Previously it was prescreened over October 23rd in Japan. At this time there has been no word of an official western release, though the Japanese language DVDs and Blu-rays will be region-free.

Digimon World -next 0rder- and Linkz TGS2015 Trailers

September 17th, 2015. Digimon World -next 0rder-'s official promotional video is now available through V Jump's public YouTube channel. Featuring our first real gameplay clips, the trailer shows off travel in the field, evolution, and the game's battle system. It opens with the (untranslated) phrases "I'm hungry," "I want dinner," "Waii!" "Friend," "Play," "Welcome home," and finally "Thank you." The player's Digimon can be seen speaking to them in real time as they travel the digital world, asking to be fed, expressing excitement, and sleepiness.

The player characters can be seen traveling through several areas, including a beached shipwreck, a desert of communication racks, and a city. The storyline dialogue sequences use a more polished version of Cyber Sleuth's engine, while the battle system is original (seen from 1:20 on). The trailer also features two of the Royal Knights Digimon, Alphamon and Omegamon, briefly fighting before its end, and a mysterious new Digimon at the 2:15 mark.

The shorter Linkz trailer shows Digimon being raised on a Digifarm, and battling in a mobile replica of Cyber Sleuth's battle system. The game was previously detailed along with -next 0rder- in this month's issue of V Jump.
