Digimon World Next Order

Welcome ″Back″ to Digimon World.

Digimon World -next 0rder- is the 2016 sequel to Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode on the Nintendo 3DS and Digimon World on the PlayStation 1. First made known on July 18th 2015 through its teaser site, the game has also been referred to as Digimon World Neo, and according to Namco Bandai is the next entry in the Digimon World series following Decode. On Odaiba Day 2015 the game's first teaser trailer was uploaded to YouTube. It was taken down shortly after due to an error in the promotional video where PlayStation was rendered as "PalyStation," and was reuploaded shortly after. The trailer is a partial remake of Digimon World's opening video, and montages several scenes from the original game, suggesting a role-playing game truer to the form of World than any of its sequels. Unlike Decode and other Digimon RPGs released since then, -next 0rder- features character designs and illustrations by Taiki, rather than those of Yasuda Suzuhito. As of August 6th the game is 30% complete.

The protagonist, default name Takuto, is a senior high school student studying for exams, who was the runner-up for a Digimon virtual pet tournament in fifth grade. He explores a mysterious digital world alongside his partner Digimon; in screenshots this has been Agumon, but promotional artwork has also shown him with Gabumon. Players may also choose to instead play as Shiki, a female protagonist who seems to share his backstory and has been promoted with Piyomon and Palmon in artwork but Gabumon in screenshots. Takuto and Shiki are joined by Hirose Kouta (広瀬コウタ) their friend and classmate, who is partnered with a Guilmon called Yukimura (ユキムラ). Like the protagonist, Kouta is lost in the digital world. Their quest relates to the original dot matrix Digital Monster virtual pets, which the characters appear to wear on their wrists as a type of Digivice.

-next 0rder- will feature a day-and-night cycle in the field like the original game, and will retain mechanics introduced in Digimon World and the virtual pets that preceded it. Mugendramon has been repeatedly played up in press releases directed at Japanese gaming publications as having an key role in -next 0rder-, and according to a 4Gamer press release the initial concept art shows an important "floating island."

  1. Lucemon Cahos mode is also confirmed, he appears in the most recent screenshots fighting Agunimon

  2. You need to add the ones seen in the recent trailer.
IIRC, there was Gigimon, Motimon, Nyaromon, ToyAgumon, Gotsumon, Icemon, Turuiemon, Piddomon (though for some reason it had 6 wings instead of it's usual 2), Wizardmon, Shoutmon, Gumdramon, BlackMetalGreymon, BlackWarGrowlmon, BlackWereGarurumon, Gaiomon, Kuzuhamon, MetalEtemon, Seraphimon, and in a recent screenshot, I also recall seeing Doumon & Vegimon (http://gematsu.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/DWNO_12-17-15_009.jpg).
This guy has a pretty in-depth view on the trailer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5UvlHAoYGs).

Some may have been story/enemy only roles or not, I dunno. Point is there's a lot more confirmed than what's on this page. :)

    1. I'm well aware of that. I've been traveling and have higher priorities than this list.

    2. Oh, sorry if I sounded kinda pushy. I honestly didn't mean to come off that way. It's understandable that you would be busy (especially around this time of year).

  5. So any chance of a seadramon line in the future? Betamon, seadramon, megaseadramon, metalseadramon. Easy right?

    1. I think the seadramon line is in, the list above hasnt been updated in while, but we have over 200 digimon in this game as confirmed in one of the articles above. I have seen seadramon and megaseadramon in the trailers so its safe to assume metal is in as well. We also have all the royal knights, the seven demon lords, and the celestial digimon as well.
