Vita Version of Cyber Sleuth to Include Bonus DLC Through End of Launch Month

December 17th, 2015. Bandai Namco US announced over Twitter this morning that the upcoming English release of Digimon Story Cyber Seluth will include the game's preorder DLC throughout the entirety of February 2016. The downloadable content includes the Cherubimon Vice and Beelzebumon Blast Mode evolutions exclusive to the international editions of the game, as well as Agumon & Gabumon's Black variants that unlock the Omegamon Zwart evolution line, and three types of cosplay Agumon. With the exception of the Vice and Blast Mode's evolutions, these bonuses were also all available as limited-time DLC in the Japanese edition of Cyber Sleuth.

Each of these Agumon has 20 base Ability rather than the normal 1, a stat which controls how many bonus stats Digimon can earn from training on the Digi-Farm. Normally the maximum Ability the player can get from a freshly-converted Digimon is 6, 1 more point for every 20% of scan data gathered after 100%, up to a cap of 200%. Since the formula for calculating bonus stats is (Ability x .5) + 50, the DLC Agumon can get 10 more bonus stats through training than normal right off the bat, and the higher base Ability also lets the player spend less time evolving and degenerating their Digimon to increase Ability. (The cap is 100.)

The preorder DLC also includes four themes for the Vita featuring Aiba Takumi, Shiramine Nokia, and two Royal Knight themes, as well as an item set. Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth will launch on the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 in North America on February 2nd, 2016, and in Europe on February 5th, 2016.
