January 16th, 2015. Digimon World Tour announced the full details of their Digimon Celebration event today, which will take place three weeks from now on February 6th in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The event has been moved an hour forward to 12 PM, and it will end at 12 AM. The Digimon Celebration
will feature tournament play for Rumble Arena, Rumble Arena 2, and
Digimon All-Star Rumble. These will be the only sanctioned events with
prize payout; tournament play for other video games, virtual pets, or
trading card games may be organized on-site. For further details on the tournament rules, see the DWT webpage.
There will also be cosplay, fanart, and trivia contests on-site. The cosplay contest will be split into Craft and Exhibition divisions, with the Craft division reserved for cosplays designed, sewn, and constructed, while the Exhibition division is reserved for store-bought or commissioned cosplays, and cosplays made through clothing alteration. The fanart contest will cover only the visual arts, and participating artists may bring either a physical copy of the artwork to present at registration or send a high resolution PNG file to World Tour's dedicated email address by January 31st. For further information, see the DWT webpage.
Digimon Celebration will take place at the Victory Pointe gaming lounge in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 6th, 2016. Tamer Union will be traveling to provide on-site coverage of the event. The event is being organized through Facebook, and currently 59 persons have committed to going. 138 others are "interested," and 346 invited. In addition to the gaming and cosplay events that day, the Celebration will feature artist duo Ramen Bento as a vendor, selling Digimon plush toys, stickers, and magnets.

Digimon Celebration Event Coming to Pittsburgh
December 2nd, 2015. Digimon fan event organizer Digimon World Tour announced that the first Digimon Celebration event will be held on February 6th, 2016, at the Victory Pointe gaming lounge in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Opening at 11:00 AM, the first Digimon Celebration will host several retro and modern Digimon games, including a demo of Cyber Sleuth, and a Rumble series tournament. (Which Rumble games out of All-Star Rumble, Rumble Arena and Arena 2, will be hosted has not been stated.)
The Celebration will also feature prize raffles, vendors, as well as fanart, cosplay, and trivia contests. World Tour has suggested that some copies of Cyber Sleuth may be given away as prizes at the event, which will serve as a launch party for the game.
Participants will have to pay a $10 entry fee in order to gain access to the arcade and accompanying café. At this time over 160 persons have been invited to participate in the Digimon Celebration.
The Victory Pointe gaming lounge is a barcade located in the South Side of Pittsburgh, which had its grand opening last September. The location hosts regular tournaments for fighting games like Street Fighter and Super Smash Bros., and provides a host of classic arcade games and pinball machines, as well as more recent titles played on game consoles provided by the Pointe's management. Victory Pointe distinguishes itself from competing barcades by being open to minors; the establishment does not serve alcohol out of its kitchen, but does allow its patrons to bring their own drinks, making it accessible to a greater audience than most American barcades.
